It’s that time of year again where I look back on everything I’ve done this year and think about what I want to achieve in the next year. And 2024, that will be a year of action, growth and new challenges for me. I have five goals in mind that I absolutely want to achieve in my business. Below I’d like to share them with you, just because they make me excited. And maybe I’ll inspire you to set your own goals for the new year!
1. Establish partnerships with marketing agencies
One of the things I want to do next year is to set up collaborations with different marketing agencies. I am convinced that collaboration helps you move forward, especially when you can find an expert who offers complementary skills and insights that enhance your strengths. By entering into partnerships with agencies that specialize in online marketing, social media or brand campaigns, I want to take both my own services and those of the marketing agency towards the client to a (much) higher level. Together with a team - each with their own specialization - we go all-in to take brand campaigns to a new level. In the background, there are great developments that will undoubtedly contribute to this goal.
2. Sales target: A minimum sales
As an entrepreneur, you set goals for yourself, but the most important thing is that they are achievable and not unrealistic. By 2025, I want to have booked at least X amount in my accounting software. I will keep the exact amount to myself for privacy reasons, but I can at least reveal that it is an increase of 20% over the annual turnover of 2024. This means that in the coming year I will work extra hard to expand my customer base, improve my services and use marketing more intelligently. Of course, it is not just about numbers, but achieving this would be a big step towards an even more successful and stable company. Because in the end, it is the quality of the photos and the service orientation that determine the final score.
3. 10,000 website visits
Lately I have noticed how important it is to be visible online. So in 2025 I want my website to have at least 10,000 visitor sessions. That is a goal that is incredibly challenging, but I believe it is achievable by focusing on valuable content and SEO optimization. Something I already pay a lot of attention to, but want to expand on even further. The website must become a place where people can not only go for information, but where they can actually use it. This way I hope to get my company higher in the Google ranking and thus get increasingly cool assignments.
4. Investing for retirement
When it comes to retirement, I’ve always had a bit of a “we’ll figure it out later” attitude. But as I get older (and wiser, I hope), I realize it’s time to really get started. In keeping with the motto “better late than never,” my goal for 2025 is to start investing for my retirement. I don’t want to leave my money passively, but to make it work for me. Whether that’s in stocks, index funds, or other forms of investing, it’s time to make a plan and take action. The idea is to build up slowly with an eye on the long term, but to become increasingly active in this.
5. Semi-actively maintain LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a bit like a business 'bedroom' for many people: you go there every now and then, but it doesn't always feel like something you have to actively engage with. Up until now, I've kept my hands off it because social media actually takes up more time than I'd like. However, I notice that LinkedIn is a powerful platform for networking and sharing valuable content. In 2025, I want to keep my LinkedIn profile semi-active. I deliberately call it 'semi-', because this means that I won't post every day, but I will regularly share interesting updates and follow the developments of others. By doing this, I want to increase my visibility and get in touch with other entrepreneurs and potential customers.
Conclusion:
To be honest, I am incredibly excited about 2025. It is not just about the goals I want to achieve, but also about the process: the steps I am going to take, the knowledge I am going to gain and the new people I am going to meet. Every year I look back at how I was doing the year before and what developments I have made. And in all modesty I dare say that I can be proud of that upward trend. Where I used to have sleepless nights because of uncertainty, I can now not switch off my thoughts in the evening from gaining new ideas. These five goals are really the focal points of the year for me, and with discipline and consistency I am convinced that I can achieve them.
What are your goals for 2025? And how are you going to achieve them? I'm curious! Together we can motivate each other to get the best out of the new year.
